Details Emerge for New Tom Clancy Title

    Written By: BGL Venom XS

The next installment to the Rainbow Six franchise is currently in speculation and has many questions floating around. This game is the next installment after Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, a 5v5 team based tactical shooter. The next installment we can expect to see a different feel. Very small amounts of information about this installment is being given to the public, which makes the excitement go up from the fan base. This is what we know!

The next installment to the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six franchise is currently “CODENAME: Parasite”. Previously “CODENAME: Quarantine” back in 2019, but due to the COVID-19 virus being named a national pandemic beginning of 2020, the name has been given a placeholder due to it becoming "controversial and questionable". Rainbow Six Parasite was revealed during E3 2019 and the original release date was scheduled for early 2020. A current release date has not been scheduled, but during an event back in October of 2020, Ubisoft announced that the goal is to release it between 2021-2022. When the game does release, it is expected to be available for users on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Due to Rainbow Six: Parasite being the next installment, a lot of new and old content can be expected to be seen. Currently, we know of 7 playable original operators from Rainbow Six: Siege that will be in the next installment; Alibi, Ela, Finka, Lion, Tachanka, Vigil, and the classic Recruit. Rainbow Six: Parasite is a “squad based, 3vE tactical shooter”. We can also see the return of gadget usage from Rainbow Six: Siege. Previous long term Rainbow Six: Siege players will see a huge similarity to this game and Operation Chimera. Players will be facing against enemies that are not exactly we call “human”. Players will face against multiple challenges when it comes to completing objectives, and getting to an extraction point in time.

The E3 Trailer for Rainbow Six: Parasite released back in 2019 was given to the fan base as teaser for what’s to come in the near future. The co-operative game is currently on a Technical Test Server, but unavailable for the public. Although it may be unavailable for the public, footage has been leaked on Facebook and other platforms. More information has been provided by high reputation sites such as “gfinityesports”, “duelshockers”, and "IGN". More information can be expected in the near future. Something big is coming to shake up the playing field. Are you ready for Rainbow Six: Parasite?
