Year Six Rainbow 6 Siege Details Emerge!

    Article By: BGL Venom XS

Year 6 is here for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Ubisoft is starting it off with a BANG, literally. With an addition of the GONNE-6 and the new Argentinean operator, Flores, this season without a doubt could possibly change the meta for both attackers and defenders. Lets take a quick peak on the new season!

The new operator coming to Siege is named Flores, and he definitely brings something new and fresh to the table. He is a 2 armor, 2 speed operator, but with the looks of his kit, he should not be underestimated. A gadget meta for defenders will be quite impossible with his RCE-Ratero. To put some perspective on his gadget, its almost like an RC-XD from the Call of Duty franchise. Defenders are going to need some extra thought when it comes operator decisions with Flores’ new gadget. At the current moment on the Test Server, he has 4 of these drones. This gadget gives attackers a chance to get creative while keeping the detonation timer in mind. Anchor it to open new lines of sight, cook it like a grenade, get rid of defender gadgets, or even eliminate camping defenders. The uses of this gadget is almost limitless. Act defensively with Flores and choose his claymore or get aggressive with his flash grenades. With his primary weapons, you can choose either Thatcher’s AR33 or Blackbeard’s marksman rifle, the SR-25. The GONNE-6 is a gadget that will replace an attacker’s side arm. Think of an Ash breaching charge, but on a smaller scale. It comes with 1 shot, so make sure to use it resourcefully.

As we all know, Border is a very popular map when it comes to Pro-League and the Ranked Pool. The new Border re-work is also coming this season along with the beta phase of the Match Re-play System. Often times in Border, defenders have a hard time with being pinched off a rotate and have trouble defending certain sights in general due to the lack of space available. Developers have taken notes and opened up multiple lines of sight and added rotates.
Do you ever get killed by that enemy Ash and think “How in the world did she see me?”, the Match Re-play is for you. Unfortunately, the beta is only available on PC, but the Ubisoft Developers are currently in development of bringing it to console. All buffs, nerfs, patch notes, and the full list of updates can be found at their website, and the Test Server is currently live. All PC users can try Flores out before the season goes live.

When it comes to personal opinion, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is the most unique, teamwork based game I’ve played. No match or round is the same and the addition of gadgets and gizmos breathes life into the originality of this game. This season not only shows that Ubisoft has more in store for the player base, but that the game and community are continuously growing. There’s no sign in stopping growth, and this upcoming season will certainly bring something new to Team Rainbow.  The new season’s full release date has not yet been confirmed, but we can expect to see some updates within the next few weeks!
